DWP confirm DLA and Attendance Allowance payment rates for 2025

In 2025, households receiving benefits such as Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Attendance Allowance will experience an increase in payments. The government has revealed the amount that individuals will get in the new year, with benefits rising by 1.7%.

This follows the certification of the September inflation rate, which determines the payment increase for the next year. It acknowledges that the poorest people need more funds to deal with growing retail costs.

The revised benefit rates will take effect on April 6, 2025, the beginning of the next fiscal year. Around 1.2 million Britons use DLA, which is separated into two categories of payments: care and mobility. In 2025/26, the care component will be valued up to £110.40 per week, up from £108.55, and the mobility component will be worth up to £77.05, up from £75.75.

Some claimants may get lesser rates, but there will still be a little rise, according to Birmingham Live. The maximum rate of Attendance Allowance will increase to £110.40 from £108.55. DLA is available to persons with a disability or condition who need assistance with care or mobility, whilst Attendance Allowance assists pension-age adults who are disabled or require care assistance.

Other benefits, such as Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payments (PIP), will rise in April. In 2025, the state pension is predicted to grow more significantly.

The government’s triple lock guarantee is expected to raise the pension rate by 4.1%. This strategy assures that the pension amount increases year to meet the highest of either inflation, wage growth, or 2.5%.
