NERLDC is the apex body to ensure integrated operation of the power system in the North Eastern Region. 

उत्तर पुर्बी  क्षेत्रीय भार प्रेषण केंन्द्र की मुख्य जिम्मेदारियां :
  • सिस्टम अध्ययन, योजना तथा आकस्मिकता का विश्लेषण ।
  • ट्रिपिंग विश्लेषण / गड़बड़ी तथा तुरन्त राहत उपायो॑ को सरल बनाना ।
  • दैनिक शिडय़ूलिंग तथा चालन योजना ।
  • द्विपक्षीय अनुसूचीकरण तथा अन्तर्क्षेत्रीय विनिमय को सरल बनाना ।
  • ऊर्जा सम्वाहन तथा विशेष ऊर्जा मीटरो द्वारा खपत का संगणन ।
  • टेलीमीटरी, संगणन तथा संचार व्यवस्था का आवर्धन ।
  • सिस्टम पैरीमीटरो और सुरक्षा को मोनीटर करना ।
  • र्क्षेत्रीय पावर सिस्टम ग्रिड के सन्युक्त चालन को निर्धारित करना ।
The main responsibilities of NERLDC are:
  • Monitoring of system parameters and security.
  • To ensure the integrated operation of the power system grid in the region. 
  • System studies, planning and contingency analysis.
  • Analysis of tripping/disturbances and facilitating immediate remedial measures.
  • Daily scheduling and operational planning.
  • Facilitating bilateral and inter-regional exchanges.
  • Computation of energy despatch and drawal values using SEMs.
  • Augmentation of telemetry, computing & communication facilities.
